|
Hey guys! Happy Friday! It's such a lovely morning and birds are singing happily. OK, It's the Friday 56!! This time I pick up the book which is the winner of the Pulitzer Prize, To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

"I hated him for that, but when you are in trouble you become easily tired: soon I was hiding in his lap and his arms were around me."

........

The Friday 56 Rules
  • Grab the book nearest to you. Right now.
  • Turn to page 56 and find the 5th sentence.
  • Post that sentence (or plus one or two others you like) along with this instructions on your blog or (if you do not have your own blog) in the comments section of Story Time With Tonya and Friends.
  • Post a link along with your blog post back to Story Time with Tonya and Friends.
  • Don't dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the closest.

I was thinking about why I hadn't read this yet, and realized that most of the classics I read were in high school...and this book came out the year I graduated. (And it had yet to find its niche). Dang, I'm old!

For whatever reason, I didn't read it in college either. But I want to read it now! I recently read a biography of Harper Lee, and that piqued my curiosity even more.

Here's my 56:
