F&F's Question:
Have you broken up with a series? If so which one and why?

It was Septimus Heap series. But to say that I've broken with this series is not totally true because I just read the first book, Magyk, and found out that it was just an OK book, I'm not impressed. So, I decided to not to continue with the series. Moreover, this series got so many books like seven or eight, I don't know. So I just gave up on this series.

BBH's Question:
What is your favorite trilogy (series)?

I've read The Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Caster Chronicles, and a few other series and trilogies, however The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter remaine as my all time favorite trilogy and series. They're phenomenal and it's like you want to read them again and again.

Genre Wars & TBR Piles

|
Hey readers and bookaholics!!

I'm so glad to be back here at Coffee N Crackers. In these last few months I don't really have the heart to update my blog or to participate in any of these blogging thingy. But, now I think, is the right time to start over. Well, it's Friday and I so happy to participate in the Friday Memes, Follow Friday and Book Blogger Hope. I haven't done any of these in such a long time and it feels great to be back in game!!

Book Blogger Hop: Hosted by Crazy for Books. This week's question is "How many books are current in your To-Be-Read (TBR) pile?". My answer: Well, I'm not so sure about these. I think there are lots of books I'd really need to pick up and read. But, right now I own about 20-25 books in total and the rest of my TBR pile are books still on the bookstores' shelves!

Friday Follows: Hosted by Parajunkee's View: This week's question is "Genre Wars!! What's your favorite genre made it your favorite? ". My answer: Woa! this is a tough question to answer with a single genre and even more difficult to list a book out of that genre as I consider myself an eclectic reader. But, it's ok, I can give it! My favorite genre, I'd say, would be Mystery & Thrillers and the latest book that I've read that make it my favorite is a gigantic epic by Stephen King, Under the Dome. The book is just extraordinarily crafted.

The Friday 56: Hosted by Freda's Voice. This week's Friday 56 is from "The Book of Tomorrow" a novel by my favorite chic-lit author, Cecelia Ahern. Tamara Goodwin always lived in the here and now, never giving a second thought of tomorrow. But it's not until she discovers a locked book which will shake her world to the core.
Through the obscure stained glass, I could tell it was a man. - The Book of Tomorrow, pg. 56

My answer: I am an eclectic reader, since my reading is diverse from children to adult genre. But my favorite are Mystery & Thrillers, and Historical Fiction and I'm starting to love YA Fiction also. There are two criteria which will draw me to these book. First is the interesting storyline and second is the great looking covers (judge books by its covers!!).

Q:What is your monthly book budget?

A: I don't buy books monthly. Plus I'm still a student and don't have a budget of my own. Have to allocate my allowance to other education related things also. So, if ask what is my monthly budget for books, my answer I've no budget at all. If I got money I buy books, if I'm in total broke....I just sit silently, blinking my eyes.

Q: If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?

A: Yes, I always do it that way. But, there are also books from series that can be stand alone. So, these books I don't really care if not reading the first book first.

Q: What are your feeling of losing followers? Have you ever stop following a blog?

A: I answer the second first. Answer is NO. About the feeling of losing followers, I might feel frustrated but then I feel more excited to blog and gather more follower. But, one thing about followers is that, OK just look at my follower list, I got more than 100. But, I wonder how many of them really read my posts??

Q:If you have, or would have a daughter, what book would you want your daughter to read.

A: Above all, of course her school text books! Haha! Study is her priority after all. About story books I can't really tell. Maybe I'll let her decide by herself but of course I've to monitor whether she read appropriate books or not. Well, my daughter...read Daddy a story please. (Actually I'm not even married yet..LOL)

Q: How many reviews do you like to do a week?

A: I'm a slow reader, and I can finish at most only 4 books a month. So, one review a week I guess. I would love to do more but for the time being, it's not about how many reviews I can write, but how good are my reviews that matter.

Q: What's your favorite beverage while reading or blogging, if any? Is it tea, coffee, water, a glass of wine, or something else?

A:  Plain water is always good for me. But, sometimes I'm rooting for coffee and some crackers or snack while reading and blogging.
